Story behind this artwork
‘Travelled Land’ represents a sacred land. Used for thousands and thousands of years by Aboriginal people for many reasons, whether it be travelling through or gathering.
Traditional tracks have been stamped into the land by passing groups creating an artwork within the landscape itself. The circles left behind representing the places where people stuck around for a while, living off this part of country or where many groups would gather together to trade or celebrate.

My names Mitch Francis, I am 25 years old and am a proud Gunditjmara/Bundjalung man.
Over the last couple years I have been running a little art business called Bunjil Art and have a strong passion for sharing my culture through art. I am currently living in the Illawarra region of NSW on Dharawal land.
Aside from this I am studying primary education, working at a primary school as an SLSO and currently play football for the North Sydney Bears. " #Bunjil Art
